About an hour from the Las Vegas Strip, Valley of Fire State Park is an absolute dream for eloping couples! The glowing orange and red hues of the sandstone, the desert light, the vastness of the otherworldly landscape - it’s the perfect backdrop for the adventurous desert elopement photos you’ve always wanted.

So you’ve decided you want to elope at Valley of Fire - now what? The park is home to ancient petrified trees, petroglyphs, and beautiful native plant life, bringing thousands of visitors to hike and explore the park lands each year. In order to protect the land and preserve its history, the park service has some important guidelines for photography and events. Luckily, I’ve spent the past few years becoming familiar with these guidelines, and am now officially government-certified to host and photograph weddings and elopements at Valley of Fire! 🎉
There are two approved ceremony sites for wedding/elopement ceremonies:
The Visitor Center *ceremony site is behind the building in a secluded setting
Seven Sisters
Additionally, there are specific pre-approved photo spots throughout the park. When booking your ceremony, we’ll also make time to drive around to these photo spots and explore. The park is open from sunrise to sunset each day, and there’s nothing quite like that golden hour light.
My Valley of Fire elopement packages are best tailored to couples without guests, or with very few guests. You’ll need a Special Use Permit in order to get married in the park, which I’ll handle for you! I am also happy to serve as the witness to your ceremony if you won’t have any guests, and I have a team of incredible officiants I’ll refer to craft a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony. You will need to obtain a marriage license when you arrive in Vegas before your wedding, and you can find all of that information here.
